• Hire a proofreader to minimize the risk of delivering text that has typos or grammatical goofs. It’s easy to become blind to what you’ve written. Fresh eyes will catch your errors—better to have those eyes be in the head of your proofreader than your client.
• Deliver on time or die trying. OK, that might be extreme, but there’s a lot to be said for delivering ahead of the deadline rather than making your client poke you for an update.
• Run your text through Copyscape… just in case. I’ve had pieces of content that I wrote from my own head ding in Copyscape—sometimes bringing up other pieces I wrote! It’s worth the 5¢ per search to buy confidence that your work won’t trigger duplicate content issues, even by accident.
